Like most of my work, this is an abstract representation of my personal response to the color, rhythm and texture inherent in the landscape and sky of my native New Mexico. This quilt was created in the summer of '99 during a time of upheaval in my life; physical, spiritual and emotional. Sustained by faith, I claimed the words of Isaiah, the Prophet: "Forget the former things; don't dwell in the past, see I (God) am doing a new thing!" And I learned to "simply put them down", that is, the stones I'd been carrying around.
